Prayagraj: Today, in support of the ongoing agitation at Jantar Mantar in Allahabad, Dr. Kamal Usri, while participating on behalf of Civil Society, Allahabad in the peaceful democratic protest being held by students and youth against paper leak and unemployment, said that today’s protest was historic, after Mahakumbh, such a huge crowd of people was seen in Prayagraj, another special thing today was that while there was a crowd of thousands of students and youth at Civil Lines, Patthar Church, protest site, a huge crowd of students and youth was also seen on the roads around Allahabad University.
Allahabad civil society has been continuously supporting this democratic movement of students and youth by organizing historic civil marches on 13 July 2026 from Nehru statue, Balsan Square, on 20 July 2026 from Chandrashekhar Park to Civil Lines, Subhash Square, getting drenched in the rain, and on 23 July 2026, it has been participating in the program on the birth anniversary of Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad at his martyrdom site and even today it is supporting the protest.
The resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is a victory of the struggle and hope of the students and youth. Congratulations to all the students and youth from Allahabad Civil Society. Also, the resignation of the Union Education Minister by the Central Government bowing down to the struggle of the students and youth, respecting the constitutional struggle and democracy, is a victory of the Constitution and democracy. Though late, but this is a right decision taken by the Central Government.
This has also given a befitting reply to those anarchist forces who wanted to infiltrate the movement and make it violent, thus creating anarchy like in Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Congratulations to all the students and youth for their struggle and the victory of constitutional democracy. The Central Government should provide proper treatment to the students and youth injured by tear gas and lathi charge during the Parliament March on 20th July 2026 at Jantar Mantar and immediately withdraw the cases registered against them and punish the guilty police officers.
Compensate the families of the students who committed suicide after the NEET paper leak. Thanks also to the civilized citizens of Allahabad who helped in running the movement in a peaceful and democratic manner.
