Prayagraj: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s misguided policies and corruption led to the leak of more than 150 exam papers, jeopardizing the future of millions of young people. As a result, students are continuously protesting against the government across the country. Students were demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The government used force to suppress the student protest, seriously injuring several students. Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, who has been actively championing student issues, urged the nation’s leader to address the issue in Parliament. The government refused. Consequently, Rahul Gandhi staged a sit-in protest in front of Modi’s residence, resulting in the government relenting and agreeing to discuss the matter on its own terms. He demanded Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, the Prime Minister and Home Minister’s apology for the atrocities committed against children, and the withdrawal of the FIRs filed against them. The students’ protests had been ongoing for months, but the opposition leader’s initiative to raise their issues bolstered the student movement, and Gen-G students across the country launched a nationwide protest against the government. On July 25, 2026, the government bowed down and Dharmendra Pradhan had to resign. This is a victory for the students and democracy. Reacting to Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, former Metropolitan Prayagraj Congress Committee President Pradeep Mishra Anshuman said that this is just the beginning; Amit Shah and Modi are also expected to resign. This movement will continue in the future so that the education system can be further improved.

Prominent among those who expressed their reactions were PU Metropolitan President Pradeep Kumar Mishra Anshuman, Diwakar Bhartiya, Vinay Pandey, Ajendra Gaur, Praveen Singh Bhole, Lallan Patel, Vishnu Kant Pandey, Shubham Shukla, Saurabh Chaudhary, Chandra Vishal, Raju Ranjan.
