Prayagraj: Local Congress leaders today bid a warm and emotional farewell to Rajesh Tiwari, outgoing National Secretary in charge and former Cabinet Minister of Chhattisgarh. Tiwari had been serving as the Secretary in charge of the Prayagraj Zone for the past several years. Following the organizational reshuffle announced on August 07, he has been assigned a new responsibility elsewhere.

He had been in Prayagraj for the past one week in connection with preparations for Rahul Gandhi’s “Chhatron Ki Goonj” dialogue programme. On Sunday, at 3:30 PM, he departed for Raipur by the Sarnath Express. City Congress President Fuzail Hashmi, State Vice-President Manish Mishra, Kishore Varshney, Sudhakar Tiwari, Harikesh Tripathi, Raghunath Dwivedi, Rajneesh Singh Rishu, Bhola Tiwari, Manas Shukla, Parvez Siddiqui, among others, were present on the occasion.
