Prayagraj: The closing ceremony of the 30th Inter-Battalion PAC Eastern Zone Athletics Cluster (Athletics and Cycling) Competition-2026, organized under the direction and presence of Commander Sarvesh Kumar Mishra (IPS) at the 4th Battalion PAC, Prayagraj, was held on 09.08.2026 at the parade ground of the battalion. The chief guest at the closing ceremony was Dr. Ajay Pal Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Police, Prayagraj (Law and Order). Commander Sarvesh Kumar Mishra welcomed the chief guest with a bouquet of flowers.

The march past of all participating teams before the chief guest concluded with an excellent turnout to the melodious tunes of the band. The chief guest accepted the greetings from the teams from the salutation platform. The impressive march past and performance of the athletes were met with applause from the spectators present.

Players from various battalions participated in the competition with enthusiasm, discipline, and sportsmanship, displaying excellent performance. In the athletics competition, the 4th PAC Battalion, Prayagraj, secured first place, the 36th PAC Battalion, Varanasi, secured second place, and the 48th PAC Battalion, Sonbhadra, secured third place. In the cycling competition, 37th Battalion PAC Kanpur got first place and 42nd Battalion PAC Prayagraj got second place.

Constable Anoop Kumar, 4th Battalion PAC, Prayagraj was selected as the best athletics player for his excellent performance in the competition. The competition was conducted with complete fairness, transparency, and order. All players displayed excellent sportsmanship, discipline, and sportsmanship. Thereafter, the Chief Guest honoured the winning players and winning teams of various competitions by presenting them prizes and medals and while wishing the players a bright future, he motivated them for continued excellent performance.

After the prize distribution, the Chief Guest declared the 30th Inter-Corps PAC Eastern Zone Athletics Cluster (Athletics and Cycling) Competition-2026 as closed. During the programme, all the officers/employees of the battalion, the jury of the competition, participating players, journalists, sports lovers and invited guests were present.
