Competitions organized for kids, women, winners to be awarded on I-Day
Prayagraj: The Allahabad News Reporters Club (Press Club) organized the “Pahal,” a journalist family get-together, for the 16th consecutive year. As part of the initiative, rangoli and mehndi competitions were held for women, while painting competitions were held for children in three different age groups. Seventy-three female participants participated in the rangoli competition and 46 in the mehndi competition. In the painting competition for children, 51 children participated in the 5-10 age group. 66 children participated in the 10-15 age group, and 48 in the 15-18 age group. Senior social worker and Apna Dal (S) leader Kishan Saroj inaugurated the program. He introduced himself to the participants and wished them well.
According to Munendra Bajpai, secretary of the Allahabad News Reporters Club, the purpose of this program is to provide journalists’ families with an opportunity to participate in the competition and showcase their talents. This allows journalist families to meet once a year. According to Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, coordinator of the initiative, after all the competitions, the jury announced the results of the various competitions. Akanksha Patel won first place in the mehndi competition, Sonam Mishra second, and Priyanshi Srivastava third. Priyanka Srivastava won first place in the rangoli competition, while Aaradhita Tripathi came in second. Poonam Chaudhary has been declared winner at the third place. Whereas in the children’s painting competition, in the A category, among the children of 5 to 10 years, Jyotika was declared first, Samridh Mishra second and Sakshi Dwivedi and Divyasha Mishra jointly third. Whereas in the B group, among the children of 10 to 15 years, Advika Bajpai was declared first, Alvira Jasmine second and Vanya Srivastava and Rashi Sharma jointly third.
In the C category (15 to 18 years of age), Divyanshi Rai was declared first, Hrithik Khare second, and Arnav Maurya and Aviral Srivastava jointly third. The jury included Dr. Kiran Mishra, Neha Malviya, and Sonam Jaiswal. According to Munendra Bajpai, Secretary of the Allahabad News Reporters Club, winners of various competitions will be awarded at a ceremony on August 15th. Consolation prizes will also be given to all participants. A colorful cultural program and a luncheon will also be organized for journalists on Saturday, August 15th.
The event was attended by Ratan Kumar Dixit, former president and patron of the Allahabad News Reporters Club, senior journalist Abhilash Narayan, former secretary Devendra Pratap Singh, Anant Ram Kushwaha, Mohammad Moin, Dr. Sarvesh Dubey, Shoaib Rizvi, Deepak Gambhir, Sachin Prajapati, Meraj Ahmed, Manish Paliwal, Vimal Srivastava, Farhat Khan, Pankaj Chaudhary, Pankaj Srivastava, Vivek Srivastava, Rajiv Khare, Rajneesh Kesarwani, Vidyakant Shukla, and Mulayam Singh Visen.
