For outstanding contribution in education field

Prayagraj. Dr. Anant Singh Zailiang, Professor, Department of Sociology, CMP PG College, Prayagraj, was honored with the prestigious “Nation Builder Award” by Rotary Allahabad South for his outstanding contributions to the field of education. This honor was given for outstanding achievements in the field of education under Rotary International District 3120 for the session 2026-27.

Dr. Anant Singh Zailiang has been actively involved in the field of higher education for a long time as a sociology teacher and academic. In his teaching, he places special emphasis on developing social understanding, a rational perspective, sensitivity, and a sense of responsible citizenship in students. He considers sociology not limited to academic study alone, but an important medium for understanding contemporary social issues and the changes taking place in society.

His active engagement with issues related to education, youth, and social concerns has established him as a popular teacher among students. Through interactive and thought-provoking classroom teaching, encouraging students to critically examine social phenomena and express their opinions freely has been an important part of his educational work.

Upon receiving the Nation Builder Award, Dr. Zailiang said that a teacher’s role is not limited to completing the curriculum; they also play a vital role in shaping students’ personality, attitude, and social consciousness. He added that the creation of responsible and sensitive citizens through education is the most important step towards true nation-building.

Expressing his gratitude to Rotary Allahabad South for this honour, he said that such honours inspire teachers and educationists to work with more commitment and dedication in the field of education.
