Education Foundation of Nation-Building: Ashfaq Ahmed
Prayagraj: On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, the birth anniversary of former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was celebrated in Sikandra under the leadership of Congress ‘Gangapar’ District President Ashfaq Ahmed; tributes were paid by garlanding a portrait of Dr. Radhakrishnan. District President Ashfaq Ahmed stated that Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was not only a great philosopher, educationist, and the second President of India but also a source of inspiration for the teaching community. The tradition of celebrating his birthday as Teachers’ Day reflects the importance of education in the country. Ahmed emphasized that education is the foundation of nation-building. He noted that in the current times, there is a need to focus specifically on quality education, respect for teachers, and the holistic development of students. He reiterated the Congress party’s commitment to strengthening teachers and the education system. Other Congress leaders and workers at the event also recalled Dr. Radhakrishnan’s contributions.
