Prayagraj: On Monday, at the Sri Sri Bal Ramlila Committee, Civil Lines, a drama was enacted in which Ravana’s son Meghnad, also known as Indrajit, defeated Devraj Indra and other gods and goddesses in the war with his bravery and captured them. In this play, the increasing atrocities of Ravana and his sons create havoc in all the three worlds and start disrupting religious rituals, which was enacted live. Following this incident, the gods gather and seek refuge in Lord Shiva or Lord Vishnu, seeking relief from their crisis. The Lord addresses their problem with the cry of “Trahimam, Trahimam!” This later sets the stage for the incarnation of Lord Rama.
