Ravana’s bravery, Meghnath’s victory campaign and Indra’s capture staged

‎When Ravana returned from his world conquest, all of Lanka was filled with celebration. Everyone hailed Ravana’s valor and bravery, but Mandodari was sad. When Ravana asked Mandodari the reason for her sadness, Mandodari replied, “My mother is in Indra’s custody! Now you have become the supreme power and the conqueror of the world. How can I be happy as long as my mother, Hema, remains in Indra’s custody?”

‎Ravana understood the pain of his wife Mandodari and immediately sent his elder son Meghnath with a huge army to heaven to free his grandmother Hema from the captivity of Indra. A fierce battle ensued, and Indra conceded defeat and handed Hema over to Meghnath. Meghnath appeared in Ravana’s court, taking his grandmother Hema with him and capturing Indra. Therefore, Meghnath was given the name Indrajit. Following this, a treaty was struck between Ravana and Indra, under which Ravana accepted Indra’s wish to attack heaven again. However, Indra was enraged by his defeat. Manoj Kumar played the role of Ravana and Ujjwal Jaiswal played the role of Indra.

‎ Ramlila was started after Aarti Vandana of Lord Vishnu by Chairman Subhash Yadav, President Amit Singh Bablu and General Secretary Ajit Singh, the chief guest. Senior Vice President Vishal Kannaujiya, Vice President Pawan Shrivastava, Vice President Neeraj Khera, Vice President Hemant Banerjee, Treasurer Rajjan Lal, Festival Manager Ram Bahadur Singh, Assistant Festival Manager Anil Jaiswal, Organization Minister Ranjit Das, Cultural Minister Ranveer Singh, Manish Jatwani, Rohit Batra, Executive Member, Chief Whip Akshat Dubey, and a large number of spectators were present.
