Prayagraj: Ganga Gurukulam celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga, aligning with this year’s global theme , “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” to cultivate a deeper understanding of yoga’s ancient wisdom and its undeniable role in building a sustainable and lifelong foundation for holistic health. The session was held at Vivekananda auditorium where our Principal Madhuri Srivastava in her opening address, reminded the gathering that yoga is not merely a fitness regimen but a lifelong companion and an investment in our long-term health and cognitive longevity.
The event proceeded with the enthusiastic participation of the Principal, students, faculty, and staff under the guidance of Alok Singh and Saloni. Leading by example, the Principal actively joined the yoga session and encouraged everyone to embrace yoga as a way of life. The junior wing showcased their creativity and energy through engaging activities such as Animal Yoga Fun, Draw My Yoga Pose, Yoga Freeze Dance, Yoga Instructor for a Day, and Create Your Own Yoga Reel. In keeping with the theme the senior students extended the spirit of yoga beyond the school campus by guiding their parents, siblings, and grandparents through various kinds of exercises and flexibility routines, at home, thereby promoting wellness across generations.
The celebration left everyone with a renewed commitment to make yoga a daily ritual. The Participants departed not just with a sense of physical rejuvenation, but with a deeper appreciation for yoga as a lifelong blueprint for aging with dignity, vitality, and joy.
