Prayagraj: International Yoga Day was celebrated with joy and enthusiasm today at Ashutosh Memorial School, Dhanicha-Malkhanpur, Hanumanganj. This year’s theme was “Yoga for Healthy and Active Old Age,” with the aim of inspiring people of all age groups to lead a healthy and balanced life through yoga.

The program started with lighting of the lamp. After this, under the guidance of Dr. T.N. Pandey (certified yoga instructor), subtle yogic exercises and yoga practice were done as per the yoga protocol. Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Ardha Chakrasana, Trikonasana, Bhadrasana, Shashankasana and Pavanmuktasana were practiced in the yoga session. Along with this, Kapalbhati, Anulom-Vilom and Bhramari Pranayama were also practiced by the teachers, staff along with the students of the school. Sankalp and meditation were done during the program and finally the yoga session concluded with Shanti Path.

On this occasion, the school’s Director, Dr. Girish Kumar Pandey, in his address, stated that yoga is the foundation of a healthy body, a peaceful mind, and a positive life. He encouraged all students and teachers to practice yoga regularly and make it a part of their daily routine.

All the teachers, teachers, and students enthusiastically participated in the program and pledged to adopt a healthy lifestyle. The event proved inspiring and beneficial for everyone.
