Most Rev. Bishop John Augustine shots off a letter to Assistant Registrar Firm’s Society and Chit, Prayagraj
Seeks to halt annual general meeting convened by The Allahabad High School Society convened today

Prayagraj: As soon as Bishop Arun Singh and Bishop Morris Edgar Daan illegally took over Faizabad Church, Bishop Arun Singh allegedly sold a portion of Faizabad Church by mentioning an order passed by District Judge Faizabad on Misc Civil Case No: 3 of 2023, Dated 27.09. 2023. According to the registration, the sold section of the church property covers a plot size of 2395.30 sq ft (RBC Slab), with 1610 covered and 785.30 left open.
The sold portion is a portion of House No: 8/2/58 Nazool Bhoomi No 194,195 and 196 Chak No 13, located in Mohalla Rikabganj (Jhhrkhandi) Tehsil Sadar Ayodhya. It was sold on 17/02/2024 and registered in the office of Sub Registrar Sadar, Ayodhya on Bahi Sankhya 1 Zild Sankhya 10986 from pages 237 to 256, serial number 1992.
The land is being sold by the Methodist Missionary Society through Arun Singh, son of Jai Kumar Singh, of 29 Nehru Road, near the headquarters central command Mati Buxi ka Talab Lucknow, to Rekha Jeewani, wife of Pawan Jeewani of 105 Near Jeewani Niwas Muglapur, Tehil Sadar Ayodhya, Gautam Jeeewani, and her son, Pawan Kumar Jeewani.
Meanwhile, opponents have reacted to Diocese of Lucknow priest Roshan Lal’s recent statement about the illegal seizure of the Faizabad Church. Saurabh Lal, a social worker from Gorakhpur, issued a harsh remark, claiming that Roshan Lal’s assumption, made out of curiosity, is completely absurd. CNI bishops and moderators’ attempts to project a positive image are driven by either a desire for a position or pressure. Pastor Roshan Lal is a preacher; hence such factual statements are inappropriate for him. He said that Bishop Morris Dan hugs and sips tea with the same Bishop Arun Singh who is considering taking over the Faizabad Church. Now the issue is, to which group does Bishop Arun Singh belong?
Bishop Morris Dan is matching him, therefore it does not appear like Bishop Arun Singh has taken over CNI’s property. And if Bishop Morris Dan is not cooperating, why hasn’t a FIR been filed yet? He said that CNI bishops and moderators, as well as non-Christians, were continually assaulting church property. Saurabh Lal claims to be able to identify several such properties held by non-Christians and non-CINIs.
He claimed that a committee of five people, including the CNI moderator, was formed not to save church property, but to sell it, and that if the current situation continues, the CNI moderator, like PC Singh, will soon be imprisoned. Pastor Roshan Lal determined that before making any social media posts, he must respect the dignity of his position as a pastor.
Meanwhile, Most Rev. Bishop John Augustine has shot off a letter to Assistant Registrar Firm’s Society and Chit, Prayagraj claiming self to be the Chairman of The Allahabad High School Society Allahabad and makes the following request regarding the institution: That when there was a dispute in the institution The Allahabad High School Society, the then Assistant Registrar heard the dispute and passed office order dated 26.05.2015 and considered the applicant Most Rev. John Augustine as the legal chairman of the institution. That against the office order dated 26.05.2015, the then Secretary G. Dawood filed writ petition number 34333/2015 in the Honorable High Court of Allahabad, in which the Honorable High Court of Allahabad passed an order dated 05.06.2015 to maintain the status quo of the parties. The said stay order is effective even today.
He further mentioned in the letter, “Sanjay Singh Assistant Registrar arbitrarily authorized Morris Edgar Dan to operate the accounts of the organization on 03.08.2022 and 11.08.2022 in the files of the organization without any authority. That against the orders of Sanjay Singh Assistant Registrar dated 03.08.2022 and dated 11.08.2022, the applicant filed contempt petition 4754/2022 in the Honorable High Court Allahabad, in which the Honorable High Court Allahabad passed a 25-page order on 20.10.2022. . The photocopy of the order of the Honorable High Court of Allahabad is filed on the file and the Honorable High Court has prohibited the Assistant Registrar from passing any order till the final decision of the petition number 34333/2015. Opposition is conducting the election of Morris Edgar Dan dated 22.03.2024 while they have no right to conduct the elections, hence no action should be taken on the illegal claims of Morris Edgar Dan; otherwise the applicant will be forced to file a contempt petition for which you yourself will be responsible. It is respectfully requested that in compliance with the order dated 05.06.2015 passed in the writ petition 34333/2015 lodged in the Honorable High Court of Allahabad and the order dated 20.10.2022 passed in the contempt petition number 4754/2022, no action should be taken on the illegal claims of Morris Edgar Dan and others supporting him to satisfy their vested interests, which are contrary to the laws.
Most Rev. Bishop John Augustine alleged that Lucknow Diocesan Trust Association property in Sigra, Varanasi has been sold illegally. Local Christians have lodged complaint at the concerned police station and several viral videos corroborate the claims. The property belongs to Lucknow Diocesan Trust Association and the case is going on at NCLT court, which has ordered status quo in the case. Most Rev. Bishop John Augustine has filed the petition, who is fighting the case in court.
