Prayagraj: Wednesday evening rose to a crescendo of excitement as vibrant cultural performances and enthusiastic applause filled the air in the event organized by Jacob Institute of Biotechnology and Bioengineering (JIBB), Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj. JIBB organized an amalgam of ‘Aaghaz 2024’ and ‘Footprints 2024’, in order to welcome new batch of students and to bid farewell to outgoing batch. The night was filled with the charisma and fervor of young talents that resulted in a sudden resumption to fullness of campus life. Dr. Akhilesh Bind (Program Coordinator) told that students exhibited their skills in dancing, singing, fashion show etc., which made a lasting impression on spectators. Mr. Vishwas L. Lal and Miss Shrishti Dayal were crowned as Mr. and Miss Fresher 2024 while Mr. Rohan Goswamy and Miss Shivanjali Yadav won the Mr. and Miss Farewell 2024 title from undergraduate category. Miss. Anna Timothy Disuza bagged the title Miss Farewell 2024 from postugraduate category.
Prof. (Dr.) Jonathan A. Lal, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs), SHUATS graced this special occasion as the chief guest and addressed the gathering with his words of wisdom. He motivated the students to carry on the great legacy of the institute further forward. Prof. (Dr.) Raghav Yadav, Chief Proctor was the guest of honor in the event. He appreciated the efforts made by the administration of JIBB for organizing the spectacular event. The event was organized with a vision to provide a platform for students to exhibit their cultural prowess. The tireless efforts of faculty members and students made the event a grand success. Prof. (Dr.) Rubina Lawrence, Prof. (Dr.) Veeru Prakash, Prof. (Dr.) Kapil Lawrence, Prof. (Dr.) Alok Milton Lall, Prof. (Dr.) Rajiv Kant, Prof. (Dr.) Pragati Shukla and other faculty members marked the occasion with their esteemed presence and able supervision.
