Prayagraj: To keep the world’s largest Maha Kumbh free from polythene, the fair authority and the District Magistrate are running the awareness campaign to ban single use plastic. Many organizations have also appealed to the people through their own means to keep Prayagraj free from single use plastic. The same Municipal Corporation’s Srishti Best Management Service Chairman is creating awareness about cleanliness through songs from Sangam to every place in the city to become plastic free. Srishti Best Management Service’s brand ambassador Rajendra Kumar Tiwari Dukanji is creating awareness through street drama by roaming around wearing clothes with cleanliness slogans on the stage of every programme, among school children and also on the stage of Bhagwat Katha, polythene plastic free by 2025. They are also asking the Saints and Mahatmas of all the Akharas to create awareness about keeping earthen pots, paper cups and glasses in their stores. Many saints and mahatmas are contacting for using Pattal, in which they also assured the shopkeepers that it will be made plastic free. Some people have also given orders to potters to make clay cups for Kulhad.
