Prayagraj: “At Naini and Cheoki polling booths, paraphernalia belonging to unions were installed against the rules and a large number of officials were circulating there and were influencing healthy voting and were going along with the voters to the polling booth. This process continued continuously throughout the day till around 16:00. It is also informed that complaints about this were given at both Cheoki and Naini polling stations, out of which acknowledgment was given by the polling officer while neither any legal action was taken by the Naini polling officer nor was the complaint letter taken. Therefore, it appears that the voting was completely affected by the above process. Therefore, it is requested to cancel voting process of Naini polling center and ensure re-polling on the scheduled date which will be legal to ensure transparency in the voting process,” said Roopam Pandey of UMRKS.
