Prayagraj: On the auspicious occasion of Hariyali Teej, a grand cultural program was organized by the Mahila Mandal of Agrawal Samaj in a joyous atmosphere at Hotel Naveen Continental, near Manasarovar. On this occasion, many eminent women of the society participated and brought the traditional form of Teej alive. In the program, Shweta Poddar, an active member of the society, was honored with ‘Hariyali Samman’ for her social contribution. The program started with garlanding the picture of Maharaja Agrasen and lighting of lamps. In the main presentation of the ‘Kajri’ singing program, Babli, Savita, Priyanka, Suchi, Gargi, Sudha, Amita, Manju Goyal, Soni, Neeta, Radha and Poonam gave their soulful performances. Apart from this, the dance presented by Ranjana, Pinky, Amita, Jaya, Kiran and Nidhi and a short drama presentation made the program even more impressive.
Mona Agarwal presided over the program. General Secretary Saloni Agarwal, Senior Vice President Shweta Poddar, Treasurer Sunita Poddar, Co-Treasurer Pooja Agarwal, Patron Anjana Agarwal and members of Mahila Mandal – Rupali, Priya, Monika, Malti Agarwal, Parul Agarwal and their team made a significant contribution in the conduct of the program. The important office bearers of the society included President Piyush Ranjan Agarwal, Treasurer Manish Goyal, Anoop Agarwal, Youth Mandal President Abhinav Agarwal, General Secretary Vaibhav Goyal and Treasurer Anshu Agarwal.
All the women participated enthusiastically in the program and wished each other a Happy Hariyali Teej. In the end, mementoes and gifts were presented to all the participants on behalf of the Mahila Mandal. Expressing his views, President Piyush Ranjan Agarwal said, “Such events keep our culture alive and increase mutual harmony and bonding in the society. The hard work of the Mahila Mandal is commendable.” Youth Mandal President Abhinav Agarwal said, “Hariyali Teej is a symbol of women’s joy and celebration. The youth also connect with their traditions through such events.” Sharing the information, Media Incharge Manish Garg said, “The Mahila Mandal not only made the event lively but also provided a new energy to the society. We will continue to encourage such events in the future as well.”
