Prayagraj: A huge Rakhi Raksha program was organized by the members of Lions Club International at the Dharna Sthal located at Patthar Girija Civil Lines. Before the festival of Raksha Bandhan, on the call of Mandala President Mr. Arpan Dhar Dubey. Rakhi Raksha Sandesh program was organized with the aim of boosting the morale of the brave soldiers protecting the country. In this program, about 201 kg of sweets and 5100 Rakhi Raksha Sutras were received with the help of various clubs/individuals, Which was presented to Cornel Vikram Ji, representative of Army Commander General based in Prayagraj and the brave soldiers of the army who accompanied him. Women members of Lions Club honoured him by tying Rakhi and applying Tilak on him and presenting him with sweets etc. And also gifted him 201 kg of sweets and 5100 Rakhi threads collected as contribution.

On this occasion, the function was concluded in the presence of Divisional President of Lion Club Dr. Arpan Dhar Dubey, Sub-Divisional President First Lion Uday Chandani, Sub-Divisional President Second Umesh Kakkar.

The program was conducted by Deputy District Governor Lion Ajay Awasthi. Public Relations Officer Lalu Mittal informed that for the past many years, Lions Club has been sending Rakhis to the brave soldiers of the army and paying tribute to their bravery and praying for their long life.
