Prayagraj: The players of Khelgaon Public School performed brilliantly in Varanasi in the CBSE East Zone Cricket Championship 2025-26. More than 80 schools participated in this four-day (25 July to 28 July 2025) selection trial, in which five players of Khelgaon Public School were selected in the CBSE East Zone team. Virat Gupta made it to the team by performing brilliantly in the Under-14 category, while Harshit Ji Sahay, Devansh Tiwari, Abhinav Singh, and Jayesh Kesarwani were selected in the Under-17 category. This selected team of CBSE East Zone will now participate in the National Cricket Championship, which will be held in Greater Noida from 15 September to 20 September 2025.

The school’s cricket coaches Mr. Dheeraj Awasthi, Mr. Akash Yadav and Mr. Pratik Sharma said that this year cricket has been included in the CBSE Zonal Games for the first time and the selection of our players on this historic occasion is a matter of pride for Khelgaon Public School. On behalf of the Khelgaon Public School family, all the selected players were given best wishes for the upcoming national competition.
