Prayagraj: City Congress Committee workers expressed deep condolences on the sudden passing of Shikha Singh (35), wife of Abhyudaya Narayan Singh, nephew of former MLA Anugrah Narayan Singh. A condolence meeting held at the party office, chaired by city president Fuzail Hashmi, stated that Shikha, who had been suffering from cancer for the past 10 months at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai, passed away yesterday. Her body was airlifted to the Civil Airport at 3 p.m., from where it was taken directly to Raj Apartments at the AG Office Square, where family members and close friends paid their respects and bid her a final farewell. Later that evening, she was cremated at Rasulabad Ghat. Shikha leaves behind a full family, including her father-in-law, Dhirendra Singh, her husband, and her only seven-year-old daughter. A two-minute silence was observed for the departed soul. Former MLA Vijay Prakash, former spokesperson of UP Congress Committee Kishore Varshney, Sudhakar Tiwari, Harkesh Tripathi, Ashok Patel, Ranjan Prajapati, Ram Manohar Saroj, Deepchand Sharma, Sushil Tiwari, Jitendra Rai, Parvez Siddiqui, Manas Shukla and many others were present.
