Pledged to promote cooperation, service, and brotherhood within community

Prayagraj: The International Agrahari Vaishya Samaj celebrated Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti with great enthusiasm and fanfare on Monday, September 22, 2025, at its central office, Shiv Eye Care Center, located at Dev Ghat, Jhalwa. A large number of members of the community participated in the event. The program was chaired by social worker Pappu Jhula and conducted by Ram Babu Agrahari. National President Sandeep Agrahari was the chief guest and Ramashankar Agrahari was the special guest. In his address, National President Sandeep Agrahari said that Maharaja Agrasen was born approximately five thousand years ago. He was the ancestor and leader of the Agrahari Vaishya community, who established the unique tradition of one brick and one rupee. Its purpose was to help every new member of the community and strengthen brotherhood. He said that Maharaja Agrasen’s principles are just as relevant today. Equality, service, and cooperation are the greatest strengths of society.

He further stated that the Vaishya community has always played a leading role in business, philanthropy, and service. Members of the community have consistently contributed to the fields of education, health, and public welfare. We must continue this tradition of unity and service so that future generations can draw inspiration from it.

The program began with garlanding a portrait of Maharaja Agrasen and lighting a lamp. Afterward, the community members performed aarti and bhajans together. An atmosphere of devotion and enthusiasm pervaded the entire venue. Finally, everyone congratulated each other by distributing prasad. Special guest Ramashankar Agrahari said that the true strength of society lies in its unity. He added that if we all work together for the welfare of society, no one can hold us back. He urged the youth to adopt the principles of Maharaja Agrasen and take the lead in social service.

Many senior members and activists of the community were present at the event. Prominent among them were Sandeep Agrahari, Pappu Jhula, Ram Babu Agrahari, Ramashankar Agrahari, Omprakash Agrahari, Sanjay Madia, Ganga Agrahari, Balji Agrahari, Gopal Agrahari, Ramhit Agrahari, Hari Om Agrahari, Raju Agrahari, Sudhir Agrahari, Satish Gupta, Advocate Ashutosh Agrahari, Sagar Agrahari, Dr. Shivanshu Agrahari, Anand Agrahari, Sagar Gupta, Ayush Dixit, Mukesh Agrahari, Shiv Bharose Sharma, Surendra Maurya, Dhirendra Kumar Singh, Dhananjay Kumar, Man Singh, Amarendra Singh, Deepak Keshwani, Mahesh Kumar, and hundreds of others from the community were present, adding grandeur to the event. At the end of the program, everyone unanimously resolved that following the ideals of Maharaja Agrasen, they would further strengthen the spirit of brotherhood, cooperation and service in the society and would play an active role in the development of the society.
