Prayagraj: Prayagraj MP Ujjwal Raman Singh shot off a letter to the Municipal Commissioner of Prayagraj Municipal Corporation demanding that the old Yamuna Bridge, which has been a lifeline for the Yamunapar and the city since hundred years, remains immersed in darkness, causing a lot of problems to pedestrians, hence there should be a provision of streetlights and CCTV on it. Giving this information, MP representative Vinay Kushwaha said that earlier there were huge potholes on the old bridge, due to which accidents used to happen every day, so former MP Kunwar Revati Raman Singh got the old Yamuna Bridge road constructed with RCC, which is still in use. Now if there is lighting on it, then the movement will become easier and with the installation of CCTV cameras on it, robbery and snatching will also be curbed. The MP representative said that MP Ujjwal Raman Singh has requested the Union Railway Minister to make the newly launched Delhi Aizawl Rajdhani Express train stop at Prayagraj because Prayagraj is a major centre of Army Air Force station along with the historical Kumbh city, from here army personnel are transferred and posted to the North East region every day, so it will be convenient for them.
