Prayagraj: A case of embezzlement, forgery, and fraud has been filed against Parul Solomon, the former principal of Bishop Johnson Girls’ School on Mission Road, on court orders. The case involves the embezzlement of crores of rupees from teachers’ and staff’s pension and pension funds. According to reports, after hearing complaints from the school’s current principal, Shirley Masih, and other staff members, the CGM Court directed the Colonelganj police station to file an FIR on October 14, 2025. In compliance with the court order, the police have filed an FIR. It is noteworthy that Parul Solomon is the daughter of former Bishop Peter Baldev. Her appointment has been mired in controversy, and she was arrested and jailed by the Special Task Force (STF) in connection with an examination paper leak case. Later, upon the formation of the new management, an investigation found her appointment to be illegal, following which she was dismissed from the post of principal. Shirley Masih was appointed Principal in her place. The investigation revealed that during her tenure, Parul Solomon, along with her associates, embezzled the Provident Fund (PF) and ESI contributions of several teachers and staff members by withdrawing them in cash from the school, which were not deposited into their accounts. This caused widespread resentment among the staff. When the police did not take any action, the teachers and Principal approached the court. The court found the allegations prima facie true and ordered a case to be filed. However, the complainants say that the police have not yet included serious charges like embezzlement in the FIR.
