Prayagraj: Grand celebration of Chhath Puja was held with devotion and enthusiasm in a specially constructed artificial pond in the Kaveri Sector of IFFCO Phulpur. Residents of the township offered Arghya to the setting sun (evening Arghya) as per traditional rituals. The festival will conclude with offering Arghya to the rising sun tomorrow. The uniqueness of Chhath festival is that it is the only festival in which the setting sun is worshipped. This puja symbolizes gratitude to the Sun God, the giver of life, energy, and prosperity. The evening Arghya of Chhath is considered a symbol of the deep connection between humanity and nature, in which fasting women pray for the happiness, health, and prosperity of their families. The puja site was decorated with lamps, flowers, and rangoli, creating a devotional and captivating atmosphere.
On this occasion, IFFCO Phulpur Unit Head, Mr. P.K. Singh, extended his heartfelt greetings to everyone on the occasion of Chhath and said, “Such cultural and religious events within the IFFCO family further strengthen our unity, family spirit, and social values.” IFFCO Employees Union Phulpur President, Mr. Pankaj Pandey, and General Secretary, Mr. Vijay Kumar Yadav, and IFFCO Officers Association Phulpur President, Mr. Anurag Tiwari, and General Secretary, Mr. Swayam Prakash, also extended their heartfelt greetings to the entire IFFCO family on the occasion of Chhath, noting that this festival is a living example of our faith and devotion to nature, family, and society.
A large number of IFFCO management officials and employees from various departments attended the event. Prominent attendees included Mr. Arun Kumar (Joint General Manager – Nano), Mr. Shambhu Shekhar (HOD– Personnel & Administration), Mr. C.B. Singh, Mr. Kapil Dev, Mr. Sunil Kumar Yadav, and Mr. V.K. Verma, Mr. Dharmendra Singh, Mr. Ramkant Singh, Mr. C.S. Sengar, and Mr. Jaishankar Yadav. The entire event was organized superbly by IFFCO management, with special attention paid to lighting, security, cleanliness, and facilities for the devotees. Members of the IFFCO family participated in the entire event and celebrated this auspicious occasion with joy and devotion. This Chhath Puja celebration added another beautiful chapter to the social and cultural life of IFFCO Township, Phulpur Ghiyanagar.
