Prayagraj: Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Kishore Varshney expressed deep sorrow over the murder of electronic media journalist LN Singh. Expressing his deepest condolences to the deceased journalist’s family, he urged the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister to provide compensation of Rs. 1 crore and a government job to the deceased’s dependent. He stated that the law and order situation in the state is poor. Attacks on journalists have become commonplace. He also demanded protection for accredited journalists.
