Prayagraj: Aishwaryam Literary, Cultural, and Social Organization organized a grand celebration of World Hindi Day at Sanjay Pal’s residence in Sadar Bazaar. The program included a detailed discussion on the historical, cultural, and global significance of the Hindi language. Addressing the gathering, M.K. Rajpal, Advocate, High Court, and Manager, Aishwaryam Literary, Cultural, and Social Organization, stated that the foundation for Hindi’s global spread was laid at the first World Hindi Conference held in Nagpur. This historic conference was inaugurated by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, and 22 delegates from approximately 30 countries participated. This conference provided a powerful message to promote Hindi as a common language of communication internationally.
He also informed that the official celebration of World Hindi Day began in the year 2006. The then Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh had announced the celebration of World Hindi Day on January 10, 2006, after which this day is celebrated with enthusiasm every year in the country and abroad. Sanjay Srivastava, Gyanendra Srivastava and other speakers present at the program highlighted the rich tradition of the Hindi language, its inclusive nature and its role in social unity. The speakers unanimously said that there is a need to increase public awareness about Hindi, connect the new generation with Hindi and encourage the use of Hindi on digital and global platforms, in which the role of social organizations is very important.
On this occasion, a special discussion was held on the World Hindi Day theme announced for the year 2026 – “Hindi: From Traditional Knowledge to Artificial Intelligence.” Speakers noted that Hindi not only carries our cultural heritage but is also making a strong presence felt in the age of artificial intelligence, technology, and innovation. At the end of the program, the organization resolved to continue organizing programs in the future to promote the Hindi language, literary activities, and social awareness.
