Administration of Pledge Marks Commencement of Fortnight
Prayagraj: In compliance with the directives of the Railway Board, North Central Railway has today initiated a series of special programs to mark the observance of World Environment Day-2026. This event is scheduled to run from May 15, 2026, to June 5, 2026.
The central theme designated for World Environment Day in the year 2026 is “Climate Change.” The entire event is being conducted under the chairmanship of General Manager Shri Naresh Pal Singh and under the able guidance of Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer Shri Anil Kumar Dwivedi.
In this context, the fortnight was formally inaugurated today by Additional General Manager Shri Yatendra Kumar, who administered an oath regarding environmental conservation to the assembled officers and employees. The primary objective of this oath-taking ceremony is to foster environmental sensitivity and awareness among railway personnel.
Officers and employees from the North Central Railway Headquarters participated enthusiastically and in large numbers in this dignified oath-taking ceremony held today.
Following the administration of the oath, the Additional General Manager made a special appeal to all those present to remain environmentally conscious in their daily work routines and to actively contribute towards environmental conservation.
