Prayagraj: “Silai – The Tailoring Center,” a sewing training center operated by the Mahila Kalyan Samiti/Prayagraj Division in the Railway Traffic Colony, was inaugurated by Mrs. Hima Chauhan Singh, President of the Mahila Kalyan Sangathan, North Central Railway. The primary objective of this initiative is to empower women and youth through skill development and provide them with better employment and self-employment opportunities. This center will provide practical training in sewing and garment manufacturing, empowering trainees economically. On this occasion, President of Women Welfare Committee, Prayagraj Mandal, Mrs. Vandana Agarwal, Vice President, Mrs. Pragya Deepak Kumar, Mrs. Gulshan Waris, Mrs. Vandana Singh, Secretary Mrs. Niharika Singh, members Praveena Singh, Priya Tiwari, Poorvi Kannaujiya, Mahnisha were present.
This training center, run by the committee, will be especially beneficial to aspiring women and youth who wish to strengthen their future by gaining practical knowledge in the fields of sewing and tailoring. Experienced and trained instructors will provide systematic training in sewing, cutting, and modern tailoring techniques, enabling trainees to develop their skills and work with confidence.
The Women’s Welfare Committee believes that skill-based training is a crucial step towards self-reliance in today’s times. This center was established with this objective in mind, to economically empower as many women and youth as possible.
Eligible candidates who successfully complete the training will also be offered the opportunity to work at the center. This will not only help trainees find employment but also strengthen their livelihoods through self-employment. The training center’s address is 407/ABC, Traffic Railway Colony, opposite Kharbanda Market, Nawab Yusuf Road, Prayagraj. The Mahila Kalyan Samiti has called on as many women and youth as possible to take advantage of this training program and participate in building a self-reliant India.
