Prayagraj: Under the able guidance of Commissioner of Police, Commissionerate Prayagraj, Jogendra Kumar, and the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Neeraj Pandey, a traffic awareness program was organized with the drivers and conductors of Prayagraj City Transport Service Limited. Chief guest at the program was Inspector and Teacher Pawan Kumar Pandey, and special guest was Child Helpline member Nitish Shukla.
During the program, Inspector Pawan Pandey emphasized the value of life and the fact that so many people lose their lives in road accidents because of people’s negligence towards traffic rules. Drivers were advised to wear seat belts and proper helmets when leaving home. Always maintain a safe distance from other vehicles on the road, and be well-versed in road signboards and road safety rules. Avoid intoxication while driving. People often drive with earphones, which is extremely dangerous.
Under the Rahveer scheme, an incentive of Rs. 25,000 will be provided for transporting an accident victim to the hospital. He also spoke about the Good Samaritan, or the Ten Golden Principles of Traffic Safety. He also urged buses to stop at designated bus stops and pick up passengers. A slogan was to transport the injured to the hospital, then make a video, to save the lives of injured people.
In the presence of Prayagraj City Transport Service Limited Manager Shri Srinivas Yadav, Hansa Manager Shri Amit Mishra, SS Manager Shri Aman Verma present in this workshop, the skilled driver was also honored by making him wear a helmet. All the drivers, conductors and employees of the depot were present on the occasion.
