Prayagraj: In order to provide better facilities to patients at Motilal Nehru Medical College and Swarup Rani Nehru Hospital, Principal Dr. A.K. Verma today inspected the hospital reception, prescription counter, various outpatient departments, and the hospital campus. During the inspection, he interacted directly with patients and their families, learned about their problems, and received suggestions for improving the facilities.

During the inspection, Dr. Verma reached the prescription counter and asked patients how long it was taking to get a prescription, whether there was any unnecessary crowding or inconvenience, and what improvements could be made to improve the system. He directed the concerned officials to ensure that prescriptions were made available to patients in the shortest possible time and that the elderly, women, and seriously ill patients should be given priority assistance.

Afterward, he visited various outpatient departments (OPDs) and assessed the presence of doctors and health workers. He spoke with patients and their families waiting outside the OPDs to learn about the facilities available at the hospital, the difficulties they faced in obtaining medical advice, and other problems. Patients from remote districts shared their problems, and he issued necessary instructions to the relevant officials to resolve them.

During the inspection, the Principal stated that understanding patients’ problems and ensuring their prompt and effective resolution is the hospital administration’s top priority. He instructed officials to regularly communicate with patients and their families and address their complaints and suggestions seriously.

During the inspection, the exit gate near the main entrance of Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital, which had been closed for a long time, was also inspected. Keeping in mind the smooth movement of patients and ambulances, this exit gate was reopened today. According to the hospital administration, the availability of separate entry and exit routes will reduce congestion and traffic jams at the main entrance and will also provide relief to emergency ambulances.

On this occasion, Chief Superintendent Dr. Neelam Singh, Associate Professor of Medicine Department Dr. Jitendra Shukla, Dr. Anil Singh of Anesthesia Department, Head of Neuro Surgery Department Dr. Satyadev Pandey, Dr. Suryakant Ojha, Dr. Rajneesh Tiwari, Dr. Akhilesh Yadav, Dr. Surya Bhan Kushwaha along with other officers and employees of the hospital administration were present.
