Prayagraj: The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission announced the results of the written re-examination for the Assistant Professor positions under Advertisement No. 51 on Tuesday. The results have been uploaded to the commission’s official website, where candidates can check their results.

Commission Chairman Dr. Prashant Kumar stated that a written re-examination was conducted on April 18 and 19, 2026, for a total of 910 posts in 33 subjects, in which 39,192 candidates participated. Based on the written examination, a total of 3,155 candidates have been provisionally declared successful for interviews for 33 subjects. This examination result will remain subject to orders passed in pending cases in the Honorable High Court and the Honorable Supreme Court. The Commission is proceeding with the recruitment process in full compliance with the courts’ directives.

Due to the current arrangements for the interviews of Lecturer Cadre (PGT), preparation of Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) exam results and the upcoming UPTET exam in the Commission, the subject wise and category wise dates and necessary guidelines of the interview program for Assistant Professor Recruitment will be published on the Commission’s website by mid-July.

The Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Prashant Kumar, appealed to the candidates to regularly check the updated information on the Commission’s website www.upessc.up.gov.in . Information regarding the interview will also be sent to the candidates’ registered email and mobile number through SMS. The successful candidates will be able to download the interview letter only after uploading all their required original documents online 21 days before the interview date. While congratulating the successful candidates, Dr. Prashant Kumar said that the Commission is committed to completing the recruitment process in a transparent, fair and timely manner.
