Prayagraj: The North Central Zone Cultural Center, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, organized a sound healing program on Sunday at the center’s campus. The program was inaugurated by lighting a lamp by Center Director Mr. Sudesh Sharma, Professor Hari Dutt Sharma, and sound therapy expert Kavita Malviya.
In this session, conducted under the guidance of Kavita Malviya, approximately 30 participants experienced sound therapy through Naad Chikitsa. She explained that sound is not just a medium of hearing, but also a powerful healing force. The specific waves of sound affect the mind and body at a deep level and help reduce stress, anxiety, and mental fatigue.
He said that in the midst of the increasing hustle and bustle of modern lifestyles, maintaining mental peace and inner balance is becoming a major challenge for people. At such times, practices rooted in Indian traditions like Nada therapy help people connect with themselves and experience positive energy.
During the session, participants experienced various healing sounds. Many reported experiencing mental peace, reduced stress, and a sense of lightness in their bodies after the sound therapy. Participants appreciated this unique initiative and expressed hope for similar programs to be held regularly in the future.
On this occasion, Center Director Mr. Sudesh Sharma said that Indian culture and knowledge tradition contain numerous ways to create a balanced and healthy life. Through such events, the North Central Zone Cultural Center strives to connect society with its rich cultural heritage and also promote issues related to public welfare.
