Prayagraj: The Prayagraj Division of North Central Railway ensured special arrangements for the convenience of candidates appearing for the Government Inter College (GIC) Lecturer Recruitment Examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) on June 14, 2026. Exam special trains were operated as needed to accommodate the number of candidates, enabling them to reach their examination centers on time and conveniently.
Under the direction of Divisional Railway Manager/Prayagraj, Mr. Rajneesh Agrawal, special arrangements were made at major stations, including Prayagraj Junction and Kanpur Central. Passenger movement was streamlined by additional arrangements at platforms, ticket counters, and entry and exit gates. A divisional war room continuously monitored major stations via CCTV cameras, and officials kept a constant eye on crowds and passenger flow.
Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel were deployed at major stations to provide security and assistance to candidates. Commercial department officials and staff guided passengers, while help desk and ticket checking staff provided necessary information.
Adequate staff was deployed to ensure effective crowd management, and necessary information was continuously provided to passengers through the public announcement system. The railway administration is constantly striving to provide safe, convenient, and stress-free travel to the candidates, enabling them to reach their destinations on time and appear for the examination.

Kanpur Central-Jhansi Exam Special train departed at 12:38 pm, carrying around 1200 passengers. Kanpur Central – Prayagraj Junction Exam Special train departed at 13:07 hrs with around 1400 passengers on board. These special arrangements made by Prayagraj Division and the successful operation of exam special trains benefited thousands of candidates and their journey could be made safe, easy and organised.
