Prayagraj: State co-ordinator of Bharatiya Janata Party NGO cell Rajnikant Srivastava has expressed deep concern and anger over the news of removal of the stone plaque installed in the name of martyr Mahesh Kushwaha in Jetpura village of Ghazipur district. Akhilesh ji, do politics of BJP but do not insult by limiting it to caste. Insult of the martyrs who protect us by standing on the border is not tolerated. Today we are safe and secure only because of the soldiers. The border will remain our security shield due to the foresight of the Modi government. He said that it is the responsibility of the entire society and the nation to respect the brave sons who sacrificed their lives for the protection of the country. Any kind of tampering or political interference with the respect of the martyrs is extremely unfortunate and condemnable.
Rajnikanth Srivastava said that the attempt to remove the “Amar Shaheed Dwar” and the plaque installed in the memory of brave soldier Mahesh Kushwaha, who was martyred in Anantnag in the year 2018, is an insult not only to the martyr, but also to the sentiments of the country’s army, his family and all patriotic citizens.
He said that if the reports of any kind of threat to the family of the martyr are true, then this is a serious issue against democratic values, which should be investigated impartially and strict action should be taken against the culprits.
Rajnikanth Srivastava demanded from the state government and the district administration that the honour of martyr Mahesh Kushwaha should be restored, the plaque should be installed at its original place and full guarantee of the safety and respect of the martyr’s family should be given.
He said, “Respect for the martyrs is not the respect of any caste, class or political party, but the respect of the entire nation. It is the moral and national responsibility of all of us to keep intact the memories of the brave sons who made the supreme sacrifice for the country.”
