Prayagraj: Under the aegis of HQ Purva UP & MP Sub Area, an ECHS Seminar 2026 was organised at New Cantt, Prayagraj, with the aim of reviewing recent policy initiatives, addressing key challenges and further enhancing healthcare delivery for Ex-Servicemen in the eastern region of Uttar Pradesh. The seminar witnessed participation of 310 attendees, including ECHS staff, CEOs & Managing Directors of empanelled hospitals and ECHS beneficiaries. The gathering served as an important platform for meaningful discussions on policy reforms, medicine management & services provided by empanelled hospitals and the roadmap for strengthening the ECHS framework in the region.
Addressing the attendees, Maj Gen Amit Singh Sohal VSM, General Officer Commanding, Purva UP & MP Sub Area, appreciated the synergised efforts of all stakeholders working towards the welfare and wellbeing of veterans. He highlighted the importance of collective commitment in upholding the motto of “Seva aur Samman”, ensuring quality healthcare and dignity for Ex servicemen and their families.
The veterans present at the seminar expressed their appreciation for the initiative and acknowledged the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders in strengthening the ECHS ecosystem. The seminar reaffirmed the commitment of HQ Purva UP & MP Sub Area towards continuously improving healthcare services and honouring the invaluable service rendered by the veterans, informed Pro & Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence, Prayagraj.
