Schools presented innovative startup ideas, young changemakers steal show
Prayagraj: Innovation found its stage, leadership found its voice, and ambition found its purpose as the Association of Luminaries marked a historic milestone with the successful hosting of Luminaries Conclave 2026, the first conclave of its kind to be organised in Prayagraj. Celebrating a decade of the Association’s journey, the event was not merely a competition but a vibrant confluence of ideas, entrepreneurship, and youthful ingenuity, bringing together some of the brightest student minds on a common platform to reimagine the future.
The programme commenced with an impactful introductory address by Mohammad Ismail, setting an atmosphere of anticipation and purpose. This was followed by a warm welcome from President Mohammad Adil, who greeted the distinguished gathering and invited everyone to become part of a celebration that honoured both achievement and aspiration. A meaningful sapling presentation ceremony symbolised growth, sustainability, and the nurturing of future leaders. This was followed by a sacred Bible reading by Chairperson Mr. Nirat Darbari, while a melodious prayer hymn filled the occasion with an atmosphere of reflection and gratitude. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries illuminated not only the venue but also the ideals of knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment upon which the conclave was founded.
The conclave had the privilege of welcoming an esteemed panel of judges comprising Mr. Ashu Arora, Mr. Karan Sachdev, and Mr. Abis Islam, whose expertise and encouragement enriched the spirit of the competition. Commemorating ten years of the Association of Luminaries, a ceremonial cake-cutting marked a decade of perseverance, excellence, and collective achievement. The event was then formally declared open by the Respected School Coordinator, Mr. Jyoti Dubey, whose inspiring address encouraged students to embrace innovation with integrity, imagination, and a deep sense of social responsibility.One of the day’s most memorable moments was the grand theme unveiling, which combined creativity with theatrical splendour.
Swastik Gupta and Arjun Banhot confidently unveiled the opening segments of the conclave’s theme, after which Mohammad Ismail captivated the audience with a dynamic stage entry and revealed the final segment, “Eternamente Hoven,” through a distinctive presentation that received resounding applause. The unveiling of the Championship Trophy further heightened the excitement, symbolising not merely victory but the relentless pursuit of excellence.
At the heart of the conclave was an entrepreneurial showcase, where participating schools presented innovative startup ideas inspired by the themes of Circular Economy and Green Wardrobe. Every presentation reflected thoughtful research, originality, and a growing awareness of contemporary global challenges, reaffirming the immense potential of young innovators to develop sustainable and socially impactful solutions. Carefully curated anchoring segments between presentations celebrated the journeys of renowned entrepreneurs, seamlessly connecting students’ aspirations with inspiring stories of perseverance, resilience, and transformative leadership.
The event was further enriched by a captivating musical performance featuring Vice President Aaditya Nandan on vocals and guitar, accompanied by General Secretary Rishi Kumar Sharma on piano, with fellow office bearers joining as backing vocalists. Their soulful performance provided a refreshing interlude amidst the day’s intellectual engagements and was warmly appreciated by the audience. As the competition drew to a close, the judges shared their insightful observations, commending the participants for their remarkable confidence, originality, and entrepreneurial mindset. Their words served as both recognition and encouragement, inspiring students to continue pursuing innovation beyond the boundaries of the conclave.
The much-awaited results were announced by President Mohammad Adil in the presence of School Coordinator Mr. Jyoti Dubey. The Winner’s Trophy was awarded to St. Joseph’s College, while the Runner-up Trophy was presented to St. Joseph’s College, Naini. Prior to the announcement, the Principal honoured the judges as a token of gratitude for their invaluable contribution to the success of the conclave.
Bringing the programme to a graceful close, Vice President Aaditya Nandan delivered the Vote of Thanks. He expressed sincere gratitude to the dignitaries, judges, participating institutions, teachers, volunteers, and every individual whose dedication transformed months of preparation into an unforgettable celebration of excellence.
