Prayagraj. The final match of the Turfsphere Under-18 Football Tournament, held at the Turfsphere Arena in Prayagraj, was a thrilling and intense contest. The match between Non-Challenger FC and The Tempest ended in a 2-2 draw at the end of regulation time. The winner was then decided by a penalty shootout, in which Non-Challenger FC performed brilliantly and won 3-1, becoming the champions.
This competition was organised by Turfsphere Football Academy coaches Devendra Kushwaha and Azad Pandey with the support of Interactor Kritarth Asthana, President of Interact Club of Prayagraj Sangam.
Rotarian Amarendra Singh, President of the Rotary Club of Prayagraj Sangam, was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. Congratulating the winning and runner-up teams, he said that sports develop discipline, leadership, team spirit, and self-confidence in youth. He praised the organizers, saying that such competitions provide an excellent platform for talented athletes to showcase their abilities. Club Secretary Rotarian Sadhana Srivastava, Rotarian Anurag Asthana, Rotarian Dr. Girish Pandey, and Rotarian Geetika Asthana were also present on the occasion. All guests encouraged the players and wished them a bright future.
The successful organization of the tournament provided Prayagraj’s young football players with an opportunity to showcase their talent and sent an inspiring message of sportsmanship, discipline, and healthy competition. At the conclusion of the competition, the winning and runner-up teams were honored, and all participants were commended for their outstanding performances.
