Message of environmental protection given at Kalyani Devi Electricity Substation premises, appeal to citizens to plant as many trees as possible
Prayagraj: A tree plantation programme was organised at Kalyani Devi Electricity Substation premises on Sunday under the campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” being run with the aim of realising the resolution of environmental protection and green future. At the event, the Mayor of Prayagraj participated in the campaign by planting a sapling. On this occasion, he said that every citizen should plant at least one sapling in honor of their mother and pledge to regularly care for it.
The Mayor said that trees are the foundation of our lives and planting more trees is the need of the hour to protect the environment. He appealed to citizens to join this public campaign and actively contribute to the creation of a green and clean Prayagraj.
On this occasion, officers and employees of Kalyani Devi Electricity Substation, local dignitaries and residents of the area were present. All of them took a pledge to protect the environment and the trees planted.
