Prayagraj: The annual “Passing the Baton” and Installation Ceremony of the Rotary Club of Allahabad Academia (District 3120) was held on Sunday in a dignified atmosphere at the Zahida Auditorium of the Benhur School campus in Karelabagh. As every year, the club elected a new president and office bearers and formally assumed office.
At the ceremony, Rotarian Syed Saeed Ashraf took over as president and Rotarian Khushtar Rizwani Khan as secretary. The chief guest was PDG Rotarian P.K. Jain, and the special guest was Rotarian Dr. R.N. Mishra. Speakers on the occasion called for further strengthening Rotary’s role in social service, education, health, and humanitarian work.
During the program, the contributions of the club’s founder, the late Rotarian Tariq Khan, were reverently remembered. Everyone paid heartfelt tribute to his spirit of service and his role in establishing the club’s new identity. Former presidents, office bearers, and a large number of Rotarians were present at the ceremony. The entire event was successfully conducted. Finally, the newly elected president expressed his gratitude to all guests and members and reiterated his resolve to take the service work to new heights.
