Taking a meaningful step towards self-reliance
Prayagraj: Living up to the spirit of “Service Above Self,” the Rotary Club of Prayagraj Sangam distributed two carts to two needy and economically weak individuals on Saturday as part of an inspirational service project, with the aim of strengthening their livelihoods. The objective of this initiative is to make needy families self-reliant by providing them respectable employment and to bring about a positive change in their standard of living.
While presenting carts to the beneficiaries, the event’s chief guest, Assistant Governor Rotarian Shashank Jain, praised Rotary Prayagraj Sangam’s service project. He stated that providing employment opportunities to individuals is the best form of service, allowing them to support themselves and their families with dignity. He praised the club’s service work for the upliftment of underprivileged sections of society, stating that Rotary’s true objective is to bring about lasting and positive change in society.
Club President Rotarian Amrendra Singh said that Rotary Prayagraj Sangam always gives top priority to service and in future also the work of providing help to the needy people of the society through similar public welfare projects will continue.
Club Secretary Rotarian Sadhana Srivastava said that the club’s mission is not only to provide assistance, but also to bring lasting change to people’s lives by empowering them to become self-reliant. Expressing gratitude to all members and associates, she said that such service work is only successful through collective participation.
On this occasion, many members of the club including Dr. Amit Tripathi, Rotarian Rishi Agarwal, Rotarian Avinash Kumar, Rotarian Manish Shukla, Rotarian Anurag Asthana, Rotarian Urvi Sharma, Rotarian Sonam Agarwal, Rotarian Vartika Singh were present and all of them wished the beneficiaries and wished them a bright and self-reliant future.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Secretary Rotarian Sadhana Srivastava. Expressing gratitude to Chief Guest Rotarian Shashank Jain, all members, associates, and guests present, she said that Rotary Prayagraj Sangam will continue to promote such social service activities in the future. This initiative by Rotary Prayagraj Sangam not only provided a new source of livelihood for two families, but also presented an excellent example of Rotary’s spirit of service, compassion, and dedication to society.
