Prayagraj: In a significant achievement in the field of natural cosmetics and applied research, Indian scientists have been granted a Utility Patent by the Patent Office, Government of India, for their innovation titled “Mushroom Powder Based Face Pack Composition.” The patent was officially granted on 21 July 2026 under Patent No. 596269, marking an important milestone in the development of indigenous, nature-based cosmetic technologies.
The inventors of the patented formulation are Dr. Hemlata Pant (CMP PG College, Prayagraj), Dr. Amit Kumar Maurya (Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad), Prof. Geetanjali Maurya (Kulbhaskar Ashram PG College, Prayagraj), Dr. Manoj Kumar Singh (Kulbhaskar Ashram PG College, Prayagraj), Dr. Vinny John (Mangalayatan University, Jabalpur), and Prof. Mahesh Singh (Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad).
The patented face pack composition is based on the nutritional and bioactive properties of mushrooms. Developed using natural ingredients, the formulation offers a safe, effective, and eco-friendly alternative for skincare.
