Prayagraj: The Rotary Club of Prayagraj Platinum successfully organized a maternal and child health service project at SRN Hospital, MLN Medical College, Prayagraj. As part of this service, baby care kits containing daily essentials and newborn clothing were distributed to 51 needy mothers, addressing the needs of newborns. The club’s women members participated enthusiastically and dedicatedly, embodying Rotary’s spirit of service.
This service project was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Shakti Jain, Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, SRN Hospital. Rotarians Alpana Sharma, Jaya Mittal, Neha Jaiswal, Preeti Jaiswal, Ruchi Jaiswal, Swati Goyal Kapoor, Aarti Agarwal, and Jyoti Gupta played an active role in making the program a success, contributing significantly to the delivery of supplies to the beneficiary mothers.
Club President Rotarian Ajay Sharma welcomed Assistant Governor Rotarian Mandeep Srivastava, who was present at the event, and said that Rotary’s purpose is not only to serve, but also to bring lasting and positive change to society. He added that maternal and child health is one of Rotary’s key service areas, and the club will continue to organize such public service projects in the future.
Club Secretary Rotarian Pramay Mittal, while expressing gratitude to the doctors, hospital administration, health workers and all the associates, said that the basic objective of Rotary is to provide service to the needy section of the society and with this spirit the club is continuously conducting public welfare activities.
Rotarian Dr. Pratik Pandey, Rotarian Surya Prakash Kesarwani, and Rotarian Amit Jaiswal, along with several other club members, were present on the occasion. The beneficiary mothers and their families expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Rotary family for their service. Rotarian Manish Garg, media in-charge, stated that Rotary Prayagraj Platinum is working tirelessly to bring positive and lasting change to society through service projects related to health, education, the environment, and social upliftment, in line with the Rotary Year 2026-27 theme of “Create Lasting Impact.” He added that the club’s objective is not only to provide assistance, but also to strengthen service, sensitivity, and human values in society.
