Prayagraj: To resolve outstanding demand cases and other matters of taxpayers, the Income Tax Department, Allahabad organized an Outstanding Demand and Public Grievance Redressal Camp from July 15 to July 31, 2026. This camp was organized in all the subordinate offices of the charge. As per the instructions of the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Allahabad, the applications received under this camp are being closely monitored daily and prompt disposal of complaints is being ensured, as a result of which a total of 1273 applications were received till 31.07.2026 in the Income Tax offices falling under the jurisdiction of the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Allahabad, out of which 911 applications were disposed of promptly and qualitatively.

Keeping in mind the convenience of the taxpayers and the last date for filing income tax returns being July 31, 2026 and the continuous demand of the taxpayers, Bar Associations and CA Associations and tax practitioners, Smt. Meenakshi Singh, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Allahabad has decided to extend the duration of this camp till August 14, 2026. She has directed all the officers in charge to maintain constant coordination with the CA and Bar Associations so that the taxpayers can get their problems resolved in time.

Under the guidance of Mr. Manas Mehrotra, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Allahabad, a camp is being organized in all subordinate offices under the Allahabad charge until August 14, 2026. Through this camp, pending taxpayer complaints, rectification applications, appeal matters, and other taxpayer service matters will be resolved promptly on a priority basis. The Income Tax Department, Allahabad appeals to all taxpayers, advocates, and tax practitioners to take advantage of this extended period and ensure prompt resolution of their outstanding demands and complaints.
