Detailed Discussion on “Paradigm Shift in Higher Education”

Prayagraj: The two-day Faculty Orientation Programme was inaugurated today, 7th August 2026, at Nehru Gram Bharati Deemed to be University. The main theme of the programme is “Paradigm Shift in Higher Education: Expectations and Implementation”. The programme will continue on 7th and 8th August 2026. The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Vice Chancellor Prof. Brij Bihari Tiwari. On this occasion, Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. S.C. Tiwari and Registrar Shri S.S. Mishra, along with all academic and administrative officials of the university, were present.

In his inaugural address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Brij Bihari Tiwari said that in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), all teachers will have to adopt new teaching methods only then we will be able to provide quality higher education. He further added that such orientation programmes will help teachers in implementing the National Education Policy on the ground.

Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. S.C. Tiwari, in his address, said that when changes and new developments occur in any theory after research, it is called a paradigm shift. He emphasized making research qualitative and promoting learning-centric education. The special guest, Dr. Jyoti Prashant Singh from Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, in her address said that giving importance to higher education, we will have to think about what changes we need to make in accordance with NEP 2020 and how we can implement the National Education Policy in a better way.

Registrar Shri S.S. Mishra, in his address, said that it is important how easily a teacher adopts student-centric teaching through his educational talent. The welcome address was delivered by the Convener and Dean Academics, Dr. Savyasachi. The outline of the programme was presented by Dr. Shikha Khare, Controller of Examinations. The programme was conducted by Dr. Sanjay Pandey and the vote of thanks was proposed by Registrar Shri S.S. Mishra.

After the Inaugural Session – Technical Sessions:  Lectures were delivered by invited resource persons from the University of Allahabad and Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur. A large number of faculty members of the university were present on this occasion.
