Prayagraj: The 41st installation ceremony of Lions Club International District 321 E was held with great pomp at Nandgaon Resort, Varanasi. The crown for the year 2026-27 was placed on the heads of District Governor Uday Chandani, District Dripti Deputy District Governor I Umesh Kakkar, and Deputy Governor II Shyam Babu Verma. The club’s Chief Media Incharge Lalu Mittal said that the Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University was the chief guest. 600 Lion members from India and abroad participated in the program, in which Lion Rajesh Agarwal from Dubai contributed incomparablely. For the first time in the history of Lions Club International, 107 MJF members were made, breaking all previous records. International Director Vinay Goyal’s address motivated the members, filling them with new energy and enthusiasm.
Installation Officer VK Chauhan handed over the reins of the club to the newly appointed Governor Uday Chandani and administered the oath to all the pass outs. Around 95 clubs participated in the programme and their key officials were present including First Lady of Club Shweta Chandani, Installation Chairpersons were Balbir Singh Bagga and Anil Tulsiyan, several former District Governors, current and former Regional Officers, Zonal Officers, Club Presidents, Executive Heads.
To make the event grand, an entertaining Sufi Night musical program was organized, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all the members and they had dinner together. In the program, tricycles were distributed free of cost to the disabled and sewing machines to the women.
