Prayagraj: The Kalash Vandan Yatra, being organized to mark the 650th birth anniversary of Saint Ravidas, reached the City West Assembly constituency on Saturday. Prior to this, the Kalash Yatra passed through various areas of Shivukuti, Beni Madhav, Civil Lines, and University Circle in the City North Assembly constituency from Thursday to Friday. Reaching the Pritam Nagar Circle of the City West Assembly constituency, the Kalash Yatra was given a grand welcome by City West MLA Siddharth Nath Singh and the campaign’s district coordinator, BJP District Vice President Anand Sonkar, along with people from various sections of society.

The Yatra passed through various Dalit and other social settlements in the Pritam Nagar Circle. People were seen dancing along with the Kalash Yatra to the tunes of devotional songs played on the DJ. MLA Siddharth Nath Singh said that Saint Ravidas belongs to all of us and he worked to unite society. The BJP has launched this campaign to spread this message through this Yatra. Saint Ravidas’s messages will always remain relevant. District Vice President Pramod Modi, Mahila Morcha Metropolitan President Shikha Rastogi, Pritam Nagar Mandal President Digvijay Singh, Ajay Hela, Sanjay Kushwaha, Virendra Pasi, Vikram Patel, Councilor Deepak Kushwaha, Shiv Bharti, former councilor Anand Singh, Shobhita Srivastava, Sheru Pal, Prem Kesarwani, Dharmendra Patel etc. were present.
