Prayagraj: A delegation of district principals, led by Dr. P.P. Singh, President of the Uttar Pradesh Principals’ Council, met with District School Inspector Dr. Santosh Kumar Rai today, presented a memorandum addressing various issues, held discussions, and specifically requested that the demand for regularization of ad-hoc principals be conveyed to the government. Seventy percent of the principals in the district are employed on an ad-hoc basis.

A demand was made to protect the aggrieved principals from harassment by their administrators. Specifically, the cases of Dr. J.P. Verma, Principal of Gandhi Inter College, Patel Nagar; Ram Lal Ojha, Principal of Bala Prasad Kushwaha Inter College, Balrampur Barethi; Vinod Kumar Singh, Principal of Sardar Patel Inter College; Mahendra Kumar Tiwari, Principal of Parmeshwar Deen Inter College; and Umeshwar Singh, Principal of Shambhu Chak Doharia. A list of principals in the district who are not receiving ad-hoc salaries was submitted, demanding that they be paid the salary of a principal. The District School Inspector assured them of resolving the issues, and some were resolved immediately by summoning the office assistant. Dr. Santosh Kumar Rai said, “You should contribute to nation-building by making the district a leader in education. Your principals will be fully protected.”

The delegation included the organization’s general secretary Arun Kumar Tiwari, treasurer Bhanu Prakash Maurya, vice president Dr. Santosh Kumar Singh, Dr. Dilip Kumar Awasthi, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Singh, Mrs. Vandana Tiwari, Aadya Prasad Mishra, Rakesh Anand, Sanjay Kumar, Dr. Niranjan Singh, Dr. Anoop Kumar Srivastava alias Lala etc.
