Prayagraj: The institute administration has taken prompt and as per rules action regarding the indecent and objectionable behavior of a teacher of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, Prayagraj with a B.Tech student. In this regard, the institute’s Registrar, Dr. Ambak Kumar Rai, stated that upon receiving information about the incident, the institute administration took the matter very seriously and immediately contacted senior police officers. The institute handed over the accused teacher to the police, after which the police are taking necessary action as per the rules. The Registrar stated that the institute administration conducted a preliminary inquiry into the matter. Following the preliminary investigation, the institute administration suspended the accused teacher with immediate effect. Further action in accordance with institute regulations is underway. The institute administration clarified that the safety, dignity, and respect of female students are among the institute’s highest priorities. The institute stands fully with the victimized student in this entire matter and is providing her with the necessary institutional support and assistance.

Dr. Ambak Kumar Rai, the institute’s registrar, stated that the institute does not tolerate any indecent, inappropriate, or objectionable conduct. If anyone commits an act that violates the institute’s dignity, the safety of students, or their honor, strict action will be taken against them as per the rules. The institute administration also clarified that it is fully cooperating with the investigation and legal process, and that the institute is committed to a fair investigation and lawful action. Personal details related to the case are not being released to the public to protect the student’s privacy and dignity.
