Prayagraj: Under the leadership of Congress Gangapar District President Ashfaq Ahmed, the birth anniversary of the creator of modern India, visionary, Bharat Ratna, seventh Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi, was celebrated in Gram Sabha Chandauha by garlanding his photograph and distributing sweets and fruits to the children. His works were discussed. On this occasion, Ahmed said that late Rajiv Gandhi provided new heights to the country by promoting modernization, science and technology. Gandhi is known for strong democratic reforms. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest national honour, in 1991. He laid the foundation stone of computer revolution in the country, which made it possible to manufacture various types of technical and useful equipment from supercomputers in the country. Therefore, on the occasion of his birthday, 20th August is celebrated every year as Rajiv Gandhi Goodwill Day, which is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Rajiv ji. It is known for national unity, peace, harmony brotherhood, harmony among all caste religion. The country can never forget the contribution of Rajiv Gandhi and the work he did for the country.
