Devotees’ eyes welled up with tears during immersion of offerings of dry fruits, laddus and fruits

Prayagraj: Patthar Gali Ganesh Utsav was celebrated with religious and devotional fervor. The idol of Lord Ganesha was immersed with due rituals. During this, an atmosphere of devotion, faith and enthusiasm prevailed. Women, children and devotees participated in the immersion with devotion. Devotees were walking while dancing with Punjabi band playing and Abir Gulal was flying. Flowers were showered on Lord Ganesha and the devotees on the way. Throughout the way, people were chanting Ganpati Bappa Morya Mangal Murti Morya, next year you have to go early. People of all religions participated in it. The mass event gave the message of strengthening unity, mutual brotherhood and social harmony. During the puja, devotees wished for happiness, peace and prosperity in their families and society. At the time of immersion, everyone bid an emotional farewell to Lord Ganesha and wished for his return next year.
