Prayagraj: Avantika Tandon has been nominated as a member of the district-level vigilance committee formed to effectively monitor and eradicate bonded labour in Prayagraj. This committee was formed under Section 13 of the Bonded Labor System (Abolition) Act, 1976, read with Section 21 of the General Clauses Act, 1897. Avantika Tandon currently plays an active role in the field of human rights as the State President and executing her resp;onsibility as District President of the Jila Mahila Vyapaar Mandal.
She is also continuously working for women’s empowerment at the district level. Given her social experience, sensitivity, and grassroots connections, her nomination to the committee is considered an important step. This committee will work to identify, prevent, rehabilitate, and raise public awareness about bonded labour in the district. Avantika Tandon’s participation is expected to further strengthen efforts for women’s empowerment and human rights protection.
